Easiest to use comparison site
I've previously used Uswitch and tweaked the dates to get them to compare exactly but now they've made it harder as you have to click through each option so see exit fees etc. So I tried moneysupermarket which will compare just the two tariffs, there I saw different results to Uswitch. Then I tried comparethemarket which…

Utilita
Is it just me or is Utilita the worst Customer Service ever! 1 out of 10 score. Phones not answered in under 40 mins. On one occasion I was on hold for over 2 hours. App and website don't work. So you can't see actual usage, credit or payments made. I've only been them for 5 months and it has been very stress full and…

Gas/Electricity for vulnerable family without credit history
Hi, I'm part of a charity helping a vulnerable family into housing and work. They will be able to look after themselves and the idea is to make them independent and self sufficient. They are capable of paying bills on their own and do not need top up keys, the house has normal readers. So my question is do you know of a…

Why is my gas bill so high?
Good afternoon, I live in a 3 bedroom terraced house, large dining room and small living room with my husband. Only the water and central heating is run by gas. We keep our doors closed when the heating is on. Heating is set to 18degrees from 6pm-9pm but we cancel this majority of the time at 8pm. We wear extra layers at…

Storage Heaters
Hi, I've recently moved into a house with storage heaters that are on SSE's Standard THTC tariff. I'm considering changing to an Economy 7 meter so I can shop around for better rates as the THTC meters seem to be specific to SSE who appear quite expensive. Anyways, I have a few questions that I hope y'all can help me…

Best switching strategy
I'm coming to the end of a Scottish power fixed 12 month deal Ends 31/1/19 with £60 exit fees Next week is the earliest I can switch without penalty So the gamble is switch as soon as I can but pay the extra prices hike for longer or wait until later in January 19 and risk prices even higher. I'm tempted to look at a 2…

Credit Refund from Green Network Energy
I'm in credit with Green Network Energy by £200+ I called and asked if that money could be refunded, but was told that while it is possible, my tariff would have to be reassessed, and that my bills would then be higher, due to it being winter. That doesn't seem fair to me. Is there anything I can do? Thanks.

Energy debt
Hi I am new to this so sorry if I make any mistakes. My daughter is about £575 IN debt with Scottish power and is on prepayment for her energy. If we were to pay off her debt is it possible to get her on a normal meter as of course this is a lot cheaper energy, I look forward to your thoughts, regards LC.

"Prepay is cheapest"
After a year of trying to get EDF to switch me from prepay to credit meters, I've just had a conversation with them and they verbally swore to me that prepay meters are the cheapest energy I can get, cheaper even than credit meters. Is this really true or am I being played for a fool?! I'm on the BIue+Fixed Prepay January…

Extra Energy customers sold out
It seems to me that Extra Energy customers have been sold out by Ofgem , why Ofgem Thinks it is in The customers best interest to gift 108,000 accounts to Scottish Power is totally absurd . Getting so…

Nightmare Switch from Solarplicity to Outfox the Market
Solarplicity had never set up big enough DD, nor reviewed to change it, so balance built up to £57 at time of switch. Despite an email saying any balance would be taken with final bill I only accidentally discovered they were holding me hostage and would not let me switch till balance was paid. Which heater would be best for me?
Hi everyone, We have a room in our house that is a little bit colder than the others and we are looking for supplementary heating options which will not break the bank. It's an L-shaped kitchen/diner/conservatory combo, totalling around 50sqm. Had a thermometer in there for a month or so, and it seems to lose around 1ºC an…
