Hi everyone, Hoping someone can help here. Basically I’ve recently moved house and have had a few problems with the central heating timer…it’s from the stone ages. The old analogue clock is very difficult to use and the on/off switches are clunky and old and feel like they’re going to fall off any day…. so we’ve stopped…

Hi I currently get Electricity only(we don't have gas) from NPower, we also have 4kw solar system and have our FIT with NPower. Our contract is up for our energy supply and NPower's new tariffs are ridiculously expensive so I want to change Supplier. My question is if I move my energy supply elsewhere can I still have my…

Electricity
We run a small business and our electricity provider claims that we are not allowed to leave our 1 year contract early. This sounds wrong to me - any experience of this out there?

Gas Meter suddenly thousands lower
We've been running a high gas bill for a while now and have built up a significant debt to npower and suddenly there's been an engineers visit and the meter is showing 8000 units less. That's actually lower than the reading when we moved in. Its also showing we use about 45 units a month, not the 300 units a month it had…

BG to Sainsburys will smart meter still work?
As per the title, Am I correct in assuming that a British Gas smart meter will still work as a smart meter, and the IHD will continue to show the same information if the supply is changed to Sainsbury's Energy?

Safguarding Tariff (prepayment cap)
It appears that the Safguarding Cap only applies to those with SMETS1smart meter's not the later SMETS2 versions. The safeguard tariff will apply to all customers on a tariff which requires them to prepay, apart from those on “fully interoperable” smart meters, which will be excluded from the cap…

Hi all :money: Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.. A year or so later and I've decided it's…

British Gas switch problems
Can anybody advise my British Gas electricity woes? I moved in to a brand new one bed flat in December (it was an office conversion). I was told by the landlord that British Gas held the supply. I duly contacted British Gas so I could switch to a more economical supplier. They set me up a direct debit for £85pm and I paid…

Extra Energy - A Warning
Just a warning about this company: I used Extra Energy in 2014/2015, there didn't appear to be any issues with the service, and I cancelled and paid the final bill when I moved out of the property in September 2015. Fast-forward to spring 2016, and they email me telling me I owe them £7. This was the first I'd heard from…

Final Bill and Refund
Hi! I recently switched energy suppliers and for an email to confirm the switch had been done on the 4th of Feb. I was just wondering how long I need to give my old supplier to issue a final bill and refund my credit (there is quite a bit of it) and if there is any way I can hurry them along? We’ve just had a house offer…

Help! First Utility issues
I have a situation with First Utility and dont know where to turn to now. In November 2013, just after purchasing my house, I switched supplier from BG to NPower. I'm having an absolute nightmare here. We 'had' to join spark energy in July 2012 as it was tied in with a rental agreement but after being constantly given wrong bills ect no matter how on time I was with my meter readings we left. At the last look at my account it showed that they actually owed me money!! I cut my losses…

Solar PV - who is the best feed-in company?
Hi - we are getting solar panels installed soon, but our energy provider (Tonik) is not a FIT licensee. That means we have free rein of who to pick as our FIT. Does it matter who we pick or are some more efficient / timely with payments than others? Thanks :)
