Domestic energy tariff at business premises
Hi I was wondering if anyone could help... I have owned a business for nearly 5 years. It is located in a former residential property (semi-detached house) and has always been supplied by a domestic energy contract (dual gas and electric). Is it ok to stay on the same contract if I'm happy with the domestic tariff or is it…

New boiler help
I have a new A rated boiler. Is it more energy efficient for myself, to leave the boiler on in standby mode. This one has a LED display. Option two, switch off boiler totally when out of use. I am a bit thick with this. Any advice on this would be great.

EDF - System Error, con or me?
I received an estimated electricity bill today for £192. That's about normal. I went online to send in the real numbers, and was pleased to see that the estimated meter reading on the numbers on my online account was only 6 units out. Pretty good estimate. Here's where things got very interesting. On the EDF website, they…

Please bill us Scottish power!!
We get our electricity through Scottish power. Since moving to our new home 18 months ago we never received a bill. Then in march this year we had a letter asking us to give them our details as they've been providing our electricity (I know, I know, we should have called them when we moved in... And no, we didn't take…

Faulty gas meter
Hi everybody. I am new and I hope someone will answer me, i'm very worried. I moved to my first flat two months ago. The landlord gave BG the last meter reading, which was 04725. Being new to renting a flat I didn't think to doublecheck, and I just checked again today. The meter has gone up to 14652. That must be very…

Unable to switch because of IGT?
So you provide post code/ usage and get a quote. Get all the way through and then they say sorry we can't switch you because of IGT. Waste of time - surely they should be able to not quote when I enter my postcode first time around? Anyway, this was on the new smaller suppliers. Is it just the smaller ones who won't go…

So Much For the Club
After running the utility check in the MSE website there was no mention of IRESA Energy supplier, who are actually cheaper than the cheapest deal available on the MSE club. Do NOT assume you necessarily get a comparison of all deal available. Looks to me like the Club is yet another marketing ploy, SURPRISE SURPRISE!!
