I am currently with Sainsburys but finding their set up worse than useless ,in the past I've been with N power and BG but want opinions on others .
Is there such a thing as a competant company ? Going for the cheapest via comparison sites isn't worth it.

  • Early days yet but so far Robin Hood Energy are proving efficient and nice to deal with with simple easy to read online billing, and one of the cheapest for electric at least.

Zog i've been with for a couple of years now for gas and the only thing i can make any negative comment on is that they don't supply electricity too...really nice to deal with by email, answered in record time every time...cheap too, 5 stars from me.

It would have to be a serious saving for me to leave either.

I've been with BG and NPower before too, never ever again as long as i live.

If you feel "Going for the cheapest via comparison sites isn't worth it.", then why not go for the one with best customer service?
Most comparison sites allow you to list that way if you prefer.

The problem is I have lost what little faith I had in the comparison sites , if they said the sky was blue I would look up to check ! hence my asking for peoples opinions.

Having been around the block with a number of companies, I have never had a problem with EDF. Good website, accurate billing and responsive customer service. Send regular meter readings to keep on top of things.

I wouldn't touch Scottish Power if all their tariffs were half price.

Do Not go with Greenstarenergy, I have been waiting for £1030 that they owe me since Feb 17th when I switched to Eon. I have sent them proof that they never made any payment into my bank account, its very frustrating.

For me it is Eon, and if you need to speak with them there is always a rep on here to help.

  • Whats wrong with Sainsburys Energy ? I had absolutely no problems at all when I was with them.I ve since switched to BG who are also excellent If they are THAT bad, then try British Gas ..They are the UKs biggest supplier by a country mile so they must be doing something right.

Sainsbury's is British Gas so if you don't get one with Sainsbury's then BG is also a no go.
