...presumably edf cheap fix limited availability related. Long shot but anyone know what the tariff looks like (for dual fuel, specifically East Herts)?

Schoolboy error having a highly promoted but highly limited offer open at 9am on a Friday. Should've chosen a launch time that would've automatically limited applicant numbers due to them being in bed, or out and about etc.

Just managed to get on now. Tariff is £29 a year more than the last British Gas collective fix. With my exit fees as well I think I'll pass!

Unfortunately the organisation has been showing more issues like this since Martin sold up.

    Just got on.

The only cheaper tariff for me was Sainsburys (British Gas) and as I will never touch BG again after screwing up my last account with them, I went for the EDF switch.

I am already and EDF customer and it isnt showing on my results. If I change my supplier to BG then (I assume EDF Energy Simply Fixed May 17 is the deal) becomes visible.

Annoying as its quite a big cheaper than my current EDF tariff.

EDF Energy Simply Fixed May17 tariff
    Gas
    Standing charge 26.250p per day
    Unit rate
    All kWh 1.962p per kWh
    Exit fees £25.00
    TCR 3.03p per kWh
    Electricity
    Standing charge 18.900p per day
    Unit rate
    All kWh 10.070p per kWh
    Exit fees £25.00

    For me based on:

    2000 kWh Electricity
    9000 kWh Gas

I am better off staying where I am by about £30

The standing charge is just way too high for a low user.

Just got on and I'm seeing an EDF tariff but at the 10th cheapest for dual fuels and 8th cheapest just for electricity. In both cases it is more expense than my existing tariffs elsewhere.

Disappointing. Energy at 2011 prices it said, okay I was sceptical but the devil is in the detail, so they say.

The Gas Unit rate for me is lower than what I have now, but the standing charge is 2.5 times higher, that on its own kills it, and the electricity is more expensive than where I am now anyway.

Shame. If the standing charge was half it was, I'd have considered (not committed to, just considered) it as that would have shown me a saving.

what is stopping you then to changing CEC settings to BG and proceed with the "switch"?
