Sent an initial complaint in through the complaints page on their website - which eventually got acknowledged. Have had to send a further complaint and I am still…

A Rant - Changed energy suppliers from SSE To Utilita this year. I specifically said to the guy would I get the Warm House Discount as I get it with SSE. It was one of my provisos on changing. Yes he said, you definitely will. I rang just after they changed over and asked if I had to do anything and they said no, wait…

First utility password
I have been trying to get myself through a comparison of energy providers. Now to do that accurately I need a better understanding of my spend (not just my combined fuel DD). I am currently with first utility and have requested a new login password several times over a number of weeks. I never receive the reset link they…

I am after some advice please: I bought my first property in April 2014, the property was previously rented by the same estate agent that I bought from 'Next Move'. Business and personal use shared bill can I switch it of business tariff?
Hi there, I have tried searching the forums but can't find any other posts about this. I run my business from the same address as where I live and the energy usage is about 60% business and %40 personal for both gas and electric. At the moment I pay for it as a business expense on a business tarrif and then have to deduct…

Is my Electric Meter Faulty.!?
My overall question is, do we have a fault with our electricity meter.? We pay quarterly bills based on estimated meter readings however, I'm a little concerned because we have just had our meter read for the first time since we moved in (two years ago) & we have been given a bill for just under £1000..!! The two of…

help for OAP with very low energy use
Hi I am new to this but need help. My 95year old mother-in -law has just moved to a one bed flat in a well insulated purpose built block. Her energy (only electric) will be very low because she gets main meal provided and so will hardly cook at all just kettle and toaster. Hot water is supplied, so it is really only lights…

Worth switching to a smart meter
Our boiler works fine but the ancient timer has finally packed in (round dial with pegs you push in and out) and no longer rotates so the choice is either having the heating on or off. I was thinking instead of simply replacing it, and given I'm going have to pay someone to do something anyway, perhaps this would be the…

Switch to eon through collective group on Mse and wrong address
I switched to eon last week through the collective switch on here. All going well. Got an 'activate your account' email from eon so I followed the instructions. When I logged onto my new eon account they have the wrong address for the switch. Instead of 10 they had 7. I double checked my Mse energy club account and they…

Extra Energy
They may look the cheapest but in my experience they are not. The direct debit is higher than expected. I could not get a bill for a year. The customer service is the worst I have ever encountered (and that is saying something - up to an hour on hold and then no help). I switched away from them in June and cannot get my…

Early exit fees: £50 (unless you're 50 days from the end)
I see this MSE advice that says if you are 50 days or less from the end of your current fixed tarriff your current supplier would be breaking regulator rules to charge the fee. This advice conflicts with advice on energyhelpline.com which states: "...as long as you’ve received your renewal letter from your current…
