Frightening Price Inflation Implied by ScotPower 3yr Fix
The spreadsheet values turned up for Scottish Power's fixes make alarming reading. Comparing their 1 and 3 year fixes* produced the following first year costs: first year of 1 year May 2016 fix : £1409 first year of 3 year Aug 2018 fix : £1828 For three years, it's obvious what the 3 year fix will cost: £1828 + £1828 +…

Grade II* listed, underfloor heating - options?
Hi all, I have an interest in a Grade II* listed property that is up for sale, it has LPG heating. I would like to replace the dated water heating system with a renewable one - that seems quite possible with solar/PV mounted away from the property going by other houses nearby. However is central (underfloor) heating ever…

Gas meter dispute
Hi this is my first post here but I am at the end of my tether. I switched from Npower to EDF last year. EDF flagged up a possible mistake on my opening gas meter reading as this conflicted with what Npower told them. On my closing bill, Npower had ignore the read I sent them and instead put that my read was a different…

This is my first post for ages and I may be in the wrong place for this particular question but here goes! We have 4kw PV solar panels which last year gave us a pay back of nearly £1,900. We have A rated double glazing, cavity wall insulation and loft insulation in a detached 3 bedroom bungalow. We are retired so at home…

EON - How long for final bill, switched away 16th April
I switched to Ebico on the 16th April and letter from them confirmed all switched over fine. I was previously with EON and wondered how long before their final bill is produced? When I log on online there is nothing listed any-more under plans with them but no sign of a final bill either. I like things to be tidy so…

What date to switch to avoid exit fee?
My current supplier says that my tariff ends on the 31st May 2015. I understand I will jump over to their variable rate on 1st June 2015. I was wondering what date to actually process the switch using the comparison sites? 1st June? I basically want to avoid the exit fees as well as the extortionate variable rates.. Thanks

Npower issues - what to do next?
So I've been having trouble with Npower for the best part of a year now. Npower used to supply me at the old place. I've used them for years and never had any problems with them. I moved in to my new flat last April, to discover pre-payment meters. Had to register with British Gas because they were the current supplier,…

I have a tiny little house with only 4 storeage heaters of which 3 were on in the winter and one was on a timer so only come on for a few hours in the morning and a few in the evening. Npower Telemessage Recieved For So Called Money I Owe Them
Hello, When i left Npower (rip off merchants) i very quickly started getting letters saying i owe them £48 quid or around that figure. It annoyed me a little because i was on pre payment meters so i can't fathom how i owe them money and how convenient it is that the ordinarily quick off the mark money vultures suddenly…

Getting obsessive over reading meter.
My wife says I am getting obsessive over reading the meters every day when I told her that our gas consumption has gone up 6 kWh a day due to our teenage grandson, who is staying for a few days, having long showers. And the house reeks of Lynx deodorant.

Hi I currently have a multistove burner with back boiler to heat my water and central heating, but mainly burn wood. Gas Safe
Not sure if this is the correct forum but if not perhaps someone can direct me to the right one. I lodged a complaint with Gas Safe regarding the installation of my boiler by a Gas Safe registered engineer. The Gas Safe Inspector inspected the installation and provided a Report listing the defects and I was notified that…

I am in the process of switching from EDF to OVO. Switch date was 24/03/15. OVO requested that I send them meter readings on 21/03, which I did. Final gas bill today from EDF which shows the closing reading as higher than my supplied reading. This is shown as Estimated. I rang EDF, who said that the reading is audited by…

Is BG Homecare200 worth it on old boiler?
Just moved house and i think the boiler is about 10-11 years old (probably replaced when the extension was done by previous owners), we are considering the HomeCare 200 plan for peace of mind, do any of you have it, and more importantly have you used it? How did you find the service?

feedback on GnErgy or GB energy supply?
The MSE Energy has just recommended the above to me followed by Sainsbury's Energy. I won't go for Sainsbury's as they are under BG and there is poor feedback. I am reluctant to try the above as they are new and small and I can't see enough feedback. Any comments please? I am going to try Uswitch as a comparison.
