Replacement advice for BAXI back boiler/Gas front heater needed
I have a 14 year old Baxi 45/4 back boiler, with sp3 gas front heater (both working fine), which we would like to replace because the front heater, attached to the back boiler is looking dated. The reviews for the new Baxi bbu back boiler is mixed. I could simply get rid of the front heater and replace it with a stand…

No Green price reduction on Fixed Tariffs
Today's Telegraph carries an article that most of the Big 6 will not be reducing prices for those customers on Fixed Price tarrifs Their stance is that these customers have already " Already Benifited " This I presume is because they think that those customers well into the term of a Fix, are already paying lower prices…

British gas problems with direct debit

help choose how to heat my home
We have no gas option. For years we have developed and extended our bungalow - now large, 4 bed, detached. Heated by storage heaters, most fairly modern. Like that no boiler, no pipes, easy to add as extended. 12 yr ago added solar panels to heat water (immersion for the winter, on off peak electricity). Now have 4kw pv…

Npower - final annoyance?
I am switching my gas and electricity from nPower because of the obscene 14.6% increase they wanted from me. I have been with nPower for the last 5 years because they always offered me the best tariff in the industry. There have been issues over those 5 years but none that couldn't eventually be resolved with the help of…

Tariff issues: Meters Replaced, now no reply from Scottish Power
Hi all, I had both my elec and gas meters changed from pre-pay to credit a couple of weeks ago. My provider is Scottish Power, and I managed to get this done for free on health grounds. Wow... Major embarrassment
I have just been given my account number for my E.on online account, so i set it up and was just familiarising myself with it. British Gas Homecare or CORGI Homeplan
I would appreciate advice about whether to move from British Gas Homecare 400 to CORGI Homeplan. I have been with BG for a number of years and seen the costs escalate, but preferred the security it offered to having no cover. CORGI have what appears to be a similar service agreement for £120 less per year. Does anyone have…

Moved house and discovered or meter has day and night settings
We moved house a couple of months ago and i immediately changed our supplier to the long term Npower fixed tariff. After about 6 weeks we got our first bill from the existing supplier(Scottish gas) which was for £230. We thought this was quite steep as we were used to paying about 100 a month in a 2bed semi and this is a 4…
