Its upto them if they install gasDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

You may be in a property unsuitable for gas. Has the flat had it before? Does your neighbours have it? If the answer is no, the chances are it will not be an option for you.
If it IS available in the street, you will need to pay for the installation of your own meter and pipework from this to your appliances which is quite expensive.0 -
You can't do work like this without your HA's approval. And it would be at your cost. Depending on the distance to the street supply you could be looking at a cost of thousands, unless there is maybe an existing supply that has been capped-which you don't make clear. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

thanks everyone for the replies, yes the property used to have gas it was capped off and the meter removed the housing asc. want to put gas back into the property, we were told by the builder that we would have to apply for a meter to be reinstalled in the the property. just wanted to know who to contact about this or would the houing asc apply to have meter put in on our behalf as it is them that want the heating changed from coal to gas.0
