Can I claim from an electricity account £200 in credit?
I pay Southern Electric £91 per month for gas. My statement shows that I am now over £200 in credit. This has been rising for a while. The company intends to carry that over, but I would like to have it. With the warmer months approaching (hopefully!), when my usage drops dramatically, I don't think that I will be risking…

Will they refund?
Hello, We are looking at switching energy suppliers as our gas and electric is on British Gas standard tariffs, however, we do overpay monthly to make sure we don't get unmanageable quarterly bills, if/when we arrange to switch, will British Gas automatically pay any monies owing back to us? Thank you for you help

Npower problems. Billed incorrectly and now expecting me to pay it.
Have been having huuugge problems with Npower. They gave me a massive bill this month saying that my account was £650 in debit. I had no idea how this could have happened and saw that they carried forwards a £314 debit amount from the previous bill in November. However, the November bill stated that the account was £25.61…

EDF dual fuel discount not applied to gas?
Hi Moneysavers! A quick question for you all... I get my gas & electricity from EDF Energy and I've just looked at my two most recent bills and noticed that the gas bill lists my tariff as "Dual fuel gas tariff direct debit" whereas the electricity bill says, "Standard electricity tariff DD" with no mention of dual-fuel…

Electricity help
Hi, I'm new to this board. I have been doing a little research on electricity bills as I am aware that prices are going up. I am currently with Scottish Power and have lived in my one bed flat since December. I have so far had two bills, one for £127.02 (actual) and a second one for £84 (estimated). It is all electricity…

Has EDF put prices up?
Just checked today on uswitch, last week EDF was the cheapest for me, now it is SG. Both still cost more than what I am paying e.on until 1st July so unless anything changes between now and 1st July I suppose it will be SG.

This can't be right?!
Hi, Sorry, this is my first post, so sorry if I've posted in the wrong place etc! We live in a one bedroom flat which is heated by electricity (no gas) and our bill this month has been absolutely horrendous! E.on, and our meter, seems to think we have used over 1000kwh in the last month and a bit, but I find this almost…

Put a cap on it?
I joined Npower sign online about 18 months ago for Dual fuel. I haven't looked elsewhere since because i thought i was still paying around £55 pm. v high electricity bill - anyway to get someone to check usage independently?
Hi We have extremely high electricity bills - we're averaging £500 per quarter and we're in a small 1 - 2 bedroom (i.e. 1 bedroom and a tiny box room!) semi-detached house in surrey. We are with atlantic and I know we can probably switch to save money (and will certainly look into this again) but we're currently in debt to…

British Gas Profits
Why do people think 740 Million is excessive money for a company of BG's size. I just watched the BBC news and you would think they were making £400 per house per month rather than just £4. I also find that they fail to highlight what the supermarkets make in profits every year, you never hear them screaming about the…
