I am in the same boat as you are, I will go and sign up for Eon Saveonline v5 if it's still there on 2 April.
  • I am also on eon fixonline 6. We just had a letter detailing the tariff they will swap us to if we do nothing. I assume this is the standard online tariff and will work out about 20% more expensive than fixonline6. Had a quick look at www.uswitch.com our alternatives are.

First Utilty isave dual fuel V7 7.5% more expensive
fixed price for 3 months no exit fee

B Gas websaver 11 dual fuel 9.5% more expensive
not fixed price £30 per fuel exit fee before 31/5/2012

E-on Save online 5 dual fuel 9.5% more expensive
not fixed price £30 exit fee before 1/4/2012

NPower Sign online dual fuel 21 10% more expensive
not fixed price £20 per fuel exit fee before 31/3/2012

edf Online saver 9 dual fuel 10.4% more expensive
not fixed price £60 exit fee before 30/6/2012

You can get £40 cashback on www.quidco.com for a dual fuel swap to Npower and £50 cashback for edf. So these will then both be around 7.5% more expensive than current deal over the first 12 months. So I am considering Npower as the exit fee is slightly cheaper and it is 12 months.

Has anyone any idea when I should time the swap to avoid eon not giving the tariff discount on the last bill?
