I see BG have brought out Websaver 11 and dropped Websaver 10. Silly me changed my tariff this week from WS 5 to 10. Wondering now whether I should have waited! Has anyone got the Websaver 10
prices to compare?

Thanks

I think all the Websavers are basically the same, they just keep changing the start/end dates so they can lock-in customers.

I'm on Websaver8 which expires in October, Websaver11 expires at the end of May next year (so I'm guessing Websaver10 expires in March?).

    There must be some difference:

The WebSaver 11 replaces the WebSaver 10, and, with an average bill size of £895 per year, is £26 cheaper than its predecessor.

On the comparison websites except Moneysupermarket they have updated to websaver 11 and their Tier 1 tarrifs are higher but the calculator results vary, under and over by about £20.00 :(

okay, by that reckoning it's around 3% cheaper. I stand corrected.

Websaver 11 is slightly cheaper, in another topic one of the posters here called up regarding it after only just moving to web10 from web5 and they agreed to put them on web11, give it a go!

    That was me :)

Have just twigged that Websaver 10 gave discount on both tier prices whereas Websaver 11 discount is for Tier 2 only - gas and elect.
  • Websaver 11??? Even Sly's own cash cow/pension fund Rocky only got up to 6! :p

    Hi,
Does anybody know why british gas does not do energy smart on the websaver 11 tariff ?
I have tried asking the sales team when i started my application to transfer over to them and all he said was that he was unsure why but thought it was because websaver was an old tariff.
