Looking for boiler cover
Can anyone give me an alternative homecover scheme to British Gas for my boiler as it has increased a good £40 py. Apparently it is due to the amount of call outs although the reason for taking it out in the first place is no call out charge. Really it works like a kind of insurance. Is there anyone else or do independents…

I tried to switch to an EDF dual fual tariff online. A few weeks later EDF contacted me to inform me that the switch had failed because they could not contact my current…

Economy 7 - any advice to save money?
I have just realised we are on an economy 7 is our new house, does anyone know how to make the most an economy 7 meter?
-
Looks like we have problems with EDF 20/20 meter.
Ever since we had it installed we have had to ring up as they have read the readings the wrong way round. Had our bill today for electric and husband realised it looked like they had done it again so we decided to write it down and check on the times it changed over. Instead of just changing over once so far it has changed…

I now realise that my new supplier is only supplying electric. My previous supplier provided both gas and electric and that is what i cancelled with them in the summer and have a…

Is £90 a month too much
I got my first gas bill today for just over £92 this is only for one months usage. My heating is on about 6 or 7 hours a day (back boiler), I have a gas hob but it is rarely used and have had the fire on low for a couple of hours too. Is it normal for it to be so expensive. The boiler has recently been serviced, could…

Deal has a month to go. When should I start switching?
I'd be grateful for some help. I'm a novice at switching - the only time I've done it, HE (who I was already with - I'm in their area) offered nearly the best tariff, and it was an instant one phone call switch of tariff, so I took it. I've just had a letter saying tariff Go Direct 3 will end 31st March. I phoned them to…

Eon & unjustified legal threats
Just a quick warning about Eon. They recently contacted me to arrange an appointment to inspect our gas meter, mystifyingly they also felt the need to threaten court action. If this is is their idea of customer service then I strongly recommend everyone to steer clear of them. Naturally, I'll be changing suppliers and…
