Help - I don't understand what my statement means!
I may be a true blonde here but the hubby (brunette :p ) isn't sure either... We pay by monthly direct debit for our gas and electricity through NPower. Due to a mix-up last year whereby I had to "re-join" NPower, it worked in our favour in the end as because we were "new customers" again (long story) they were going to…

EDF Standard Billing on OS7. (Welcome Bonus).
Did the EDf £100 Welcome Bonus only apply to customers who joined them on Online Saver 7 ? For example if a customer signed up to a standard tariff during the promotional period would they have received it as well? Obscure question, I know, but there is a reason.;)

eon recent price increase
Hello everyone, I have only just joined the forum and this is my first post, so I hope I have done everything correctly. I have only been an eon customer since October 2010 and the recent price increase, although not entirely unexpected, was nonetheless most unwelcome. What I was particularly shocked by was the real amount…

NPower Homecare Complaint
Hi, just after some advice please. I had an NPower Gas Engineer visit my property to inspect and service my boiler. The boiler was working fine before he attended. Hi Could anyone help me? I'm trying to figure out how much gas, electric and water has gone up in the past two years as a percentage, not actual consumptions and because I've been good and keep switching, I can't tell off my bills? I need to do big sums for work tomorrow so thought I might ask the experts! Thanks in…

Southern Electricity iplan accuracy
I have been using the Southern electrcity iplan monitor since the start of November. I had previously used another form of monitor and was very dissapointed at the accuracy of the earlier monitor - up to 40% difference to meter reading. Southern Electricity advised me their monitors were at least 98% accurate so I gave it…

Switching is not really cheaper. Why?
I have been on British Gas Click Energy 6 since it went live a few years back for both Gas and Electricity. I got the newsletter from MSE saying that the playing field is now level since EDF (the last of the big 6) has now upped their prices and people should look at switching. I went to moneysupermarket and put in my…

Electric heating boilers
I am considering changing my oil heating system (we don't have gas where I live) to electric boilers - I'll need 2 boilers each 10KW - but am concerned about costs - at an average electric tariff of 10 pence/kilowatt hour that means they'll cost about £2/hour when running - this seems a very costly heating system - could…
