EDF Standard Billing on OS7. (Welcome Bonus).
Options
Did the EDf £100 Welcome Bonus only apply to customers who joined them on Online Saver 7 ?
For example if a customer signed up to a standard tariff during the promotional period would they have received it as well?
Obscure question, I know, but there is a reason.;)

Is this is any help backfoot
Until 30th November, new customers signing up to this tariff through us and paying by monthly direct debit will receive an extra £100 (£75 on electricity and £25 on gas) as a welcome bonus (in addition to the savings quoted to you on the results table). The bonus will be credited to your electricity account within 90 days of becoming an EdF Online S@ver 7 customer. .0 -
Partially yes, thanks.
I just really need a definitive answer to whether someone joining a standard tariff got it also?
I am pretty sure of the answer but want independent verification.0 -
I signed up for Online 7, but they put me on the standard by mistake (have got them to amend it now), however they still put the bonus through on it.
Not sure if that's any help...0 -
No they didn't it was £100 for OSV 7 and £75 for either Annual Fix or Discounted Energy. His Heart Proved He Was A RedSuarez, SuarezWe Bought The Lad From AmsterdamWe Know He's Not a Chelsea Fan.Fernando Torres = El Judas0

Yes very much. :T
Did you get your first bill all based on the standard tariff or part of it?
Would you mind telling me your timescales please.
Was it electricity or gas?
Contract start date and billing date, please.
The point being, how can they know you are eligible for the Bonus as an OS7 customer but not know which tariff to bill you on?
Hence the original question.0 -

Yes that was my recollection as well. Cheers.:)0 -
1. All of the bill was on the standard tariff.
2. It was for Electricity -(still haven't got Gas Bill)
3. Went over mid 15 Dec billed 28th Jan
4. Applied to transfer on 22 Nov.
Think that's all your questions:)0 -
Fantastic thanks. Almost identical situation for me.
Looks like a systematic failure to me. I had lodged a formal complaint and got told an incomplete story today, which didn't add up. When I started to query it, the complaint handler was desperate to drop the call and said a more Senior Manager would be contacting me.
We deserve better. Many other customers may not notice it and pay on face value or just think they are paying a DD amount without scrutinising the detail.0 -
I know I highlighted the potential for this 'standard billing problem' in the attached thread.

That is now very long, so it worth reminding people of the issue. At that time, I was led to believe by EDF that any standard billing period would be of short duration (even though the T&C's refer to a maximum of 90 days placed on that tariff).
What is clear from my own bill and that of other posters that this period is much longer. In my case over two months and it was still not transferred.
Yet the Welcome Bonus had been credited to the account! The two things don't make sense unless there is something else going wrong.
Any other relevant experiences are encouraged and I will attempt to get to the bottom of it.
Fundamentally, despite the T&C's, there is no way that you can be encouraged to switch to an online tariff, advertised with the price freeze and the welcome bonus and then find you are billed on much more expensive standard tariff.
They have said they will correct cases where it is brought to their attention. In my case, it makes a big difference to the overall bill.0 -
Oh dear. They read my meters yesterday so I am expecting a bill shortly. I will report back then.
I have had my Quidco payment though which was very welcome. I thought they paid out end of month but mine was mid month.0
