Mine took five days longer. They didn't know why either.0

They've been fined for it in 2009 by OFGEM, it's something to do with the way they process the transfer, all their dual fuel chnages go that way, elec usually transferring from prev supplier to EDF at leat 7 days before gas, and usually up to 2-3 weeks later than elec0

EDF told me it was because they need clearance from Nat Grid. My Elec went accross to EDF on the 21st of Nov and my gas was the 3rd Dec.His Heart Proved He Was A RedSuarez, SuarezWe Bought The Lad From AmsterdamWe Know He's Not a Chelsea Fan.Fernando Torres = El Judas0

Thanks.
It's actually good news for me because my old gas rates are relatively low. I just couldn't understand why it should be different in principle.0 -
You need to talk them though as the terms say that until both fuels are with them, you will be charged the standard rate. So while you're saving on the gas, you're paying through the nose on the electric. If you have a moan they will apparently agree to charge you the lower rate from the start. I was going to do that but haven't bothered as it was less than a week.0

I didn't know that. Thanks.:beer:0

Who told you that moaning would get a change?
Just spoken to a Customer Services Supervisor, and if I understood her correctly, until they confirm registration to you in writing which can be some time after your date of switch, you are billed on the standard tariff ! There's reference in Condition 2, of the full tariff rules, that if you haven't heard from them after 90 days regarding this Registration, to contact them !!
I have never come across this one before. You sign up to a switch to a selected tariff and they can put you on a different higher one until they get round to letting you know it has all worked properly.
Can of worms ?
I can feel another referral to their Legal Department coming on.0 -
