EDF Online Saver 7 - Switching Timescale and Set Up.

Still haven't got my £100 since account opened in Dec as no bill has been generated for me as yet....have been told I will get it once that is generated.
I got a letter last week about the changes in prices to the Online Saver v7 which I think most if not all of the people on this thread are.....more info at: edfenergy.com/myosv7
So what are the best options for us on this tariff???
I've been exploring and can't find any decent fixed tariffs - EDF Fixed S@ver Version 2 seems to be the best option. This is only slightly more than the new Online Saver 7 prices with benefit of fixed prices until end Sept 2012. Also, no £60 early termination charge to move to this. (EDF Fixed Price 2014 a further £100 expensive for me so wondering whether it's worth fixing prices until March 2014)
Best non-fixed deals which save me more than the £60 charge include Scottish Power's Direct October 2012 or Online Energy Saver 14 saving me over £200 or the Britsh Gas Websaver 12 saving around £100 but I'm not sure if the Scottish Power ones already include the recent price increases announced. British Gas are yet to announce the increases afaik so most likely BG Websaver 12 would go up.
EDF's Online Saver 12 is also not very attractive either saving only around £70 so in my opinion the fixed saver v2 is worth the peace of mind for the next 15 months...
I found it very misleading that the current tariff information on comparison websites like uswitch for EDF online saver 7 already include the prices effective from 14th July so beware of that! Also in my edf online account the price list shows the standard price....so more confusion!
Let me know what u guys think.0 -
You don't need a bill to see your £100 Welcome Bonus. It is credited (or should be) within 90 days of going on supply. Look in your online account and you can see the current balance on your account, which will be your totalled DD payments plus your bonus (if applied).
EDF FSv2 is the obvious choice for a short-term fix.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
The current balance is visible on my account but not clickable - can't find the details of that balance anywhere else in the account either.
Checked with scottish power about their online saver 14. It does not include the price increases from 1st August and the guy said those increases do not affect this tariff.....won't know for how long though.
Considering it saves me £200, well over the £60 early termination charge, I have a hard decision.....if scottish power turns up on tcb or quidco I'll jump on.0 -
You won't find any other details unti you get your first quarterly bil, there are none to display. But you don't need them. If your DD is say £50pm and you have made 4 DD payments, then your account will be £200 in credit. If they have applied the Welcome Bonus, it will be £300 in credit. No debits yet apply as no billing has been done.
So that will tell you if you have received the WB or not.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
