If you look at para 3 of the terms it says:
"By signing up to Online Saver Version 7 and providing an email address you agree to be transferred to paperless billing once it becomes available. We will give you notice and relevant details when they become available."
Which makes me think that it won't be available to all just yet.
They better hurry up or we will all be moving again soon.0 -
According to the bloke I spoke to just, once both my Gas and Electric have been completed, the accounts team need to active the relevant MyAccount details which can take up to 28 days.
In addition, it will be 8 to 10 days after Gas has gone through before I'm confirmed on the Online [EMAIL="S@ver"]S@ver[/EMAIL] 7 tariff. Not sure why mind you.0 -
Is EDFs head office server a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 128 or summat? Why all the ridiculous waiting??
On a related note, and this is aimed at ALL utility companies: why does it take so bloody long to switch suppliers?? I got my BT phone line switched to an LLU provider and it was done in minutes. Why are gas and electric so unique? Genuine question to anyone who actually knows the answer.0 -
I switched a few days before the online saver 7 deal was pulled. Received the confirmation email on the 5th Dec, stating that i will in the next few days geceive a letter giving details of the account and the statement. I have not got that letter yet.
How long did it take for you guys to receive your letter?
Did you just register on the EDF website before you got any details?0 -
Did mine on the 6th Dec !like you received email and then an email to confirm email address ! no letter detailing account number as yet0

Did mine 1st December , still nothing in writing ,I just had original email at time of applying , email confirmation and an online account where it just really states my name , address and switch dates for my Electric and gas !!!0

Same here - applied to switch 30th November. So far just had confirmation email - no letter as yet. However my current supplier Eon has just rung me about switching so something must be happening.......0

3 weeks since applying and still nothing in writing to confirm switching dates etc as such , !!!!
Could it be they have simply been swamped ???0 -
Just thought i would give EDF a quick call, for an update !!!
The guy i spoke too didnt really know alot what was going on with my application, and said "my account" online would tell me more that he knew !!!!
He also said his system told him I was still in my cooling off period !!! but that ended Monday gone , strange:o
I also asked why my Gas was a week later than electric in switching ,and he said he doesnt know , but gas always takes longer,:o:o
I also asked him, so I will go onto online saver 7 for electric , then a week later the gas will follow , he said yes !!! :cool:0
