EDF Online Saver 7 - Switching Timescale and Set Up.

Initially signed up online back on Nov 22. Received an confirmation email straight away. Quidco also tracked the £80 bonus. Heard nothing since then so I decided to ask a rep last Sat using the live chat feature. They said their systems had a problem on that day and so couldn't find my application and asked me to signup again. Received paper work today together with my account number, my electricity will transfer over on 8th Jan with gas on 16th. Paperwork also confirmed I would be on the Online S@ver 7 tariff.
They must be having big problems because a similar thing happened to me.
I signed up on Nov 30 and received an email confirmation straight away.
On 7th December I got another email from them asking me to confirm my email address by clicking a link that did not work. I rang them up and they told me not to worry as they had all my details.
As I have still not received any paperwork I rang them yesterday and they confirmed they had mislaid my application. They didn't ask me to apply again but said they would send me paperwork. Is paperwork really necessary for an online account?
I am now starting to wonder what is better....... price or customer service?0 -

The paperwork contains the welcome back, your account number, changeover dates, and T&C's0 -
My EDF online account has updated today ;
" Registration in progress , thankyou for choosing EDF as your Engery supplier we will now register your contract with us "
With supply start dates too !!

It sounds like they've just changed how they do things which is maybe why some got lost in the process. I didn't get an initial letter giving me change over dates as some of you have done. And I asked about the web account access yesterday and was told there are problems with some accounts and they will let me know when it is available to me.

Still same here.
Got my final bill from old supplier but not a dicky bird from EDF yet.
Maybe they're snowed out of getting into work or their computers have 'frozen'!0 -
I got my email on 28th Nov, but had not received my welcome letter after more than 2 weeks.
I rang them on Tuesday and initially he could not find my postcode on their system. After checking with a colleague, I miraculously showed up and they said my letter would have been posted. They gave me my account number and supply dates.
They sent me another letter which arrived Thursday, minus the T's and C's and price list, but on Friday the original letter and full welcome pack turned up!0 -
My EDF welcome pack arrived yesterday !!
Just states in writing what my online account says , dates , DD amounts ,
It says i will be going onto Online saver 7 with electric 1st then a week later my gas will be on online saver 7 ,
Does make me laugh that it states you have 12 days to cancel this agreement from 1/12/10, when i only received the letter 18/12/10 :rotfl:0
