Hi, I applied to switch from Atlantic to EDF on 08/11. Transfer went smoothly.
I have used quidco for £80 cashback - Cashback was tracked successfully. Any idea how long its takes for it to be validated?0 -
It seems , I am offically with EDF for my electric as of today ,
I logged into my EDF online account and it stated they are awaiting a final electric meter reading, so i just submitted it !!
Other account details are now also visable , and it does state " Online saver 7 " tarrif !!
Gas is changed over next week , so far so good !!0 -
I have just checked with the EDF on-line account and it states we are awaiting your opening meter reading and are due to start to supply Electricity on the 2nd Jan 11 .
Details of of direct debit and account details (Online S@ver v7 Electricity) are on the on-line account now .
Gas due to change in a weeks time .
I should think I have to submit the electricity reading this week and next week the Gas reading ??0 -
Good for you guys. I still can't have an online account. Hopeless EDF!0

I have the same timescale as Paul, just received an email from EDF to submit an electric meter reading. I set up an account, validation within 24 hrs, then do the reading. Although phoned it in anyway yesterday on 0800 096 9000.,quoting a/c number which was accepted no quibble.
No way as smooth as Scottish Power. Hope it aint an omen.
Merry Nude year everyone.0 -
I still haven't recieved anything and I switched on 5th Dec. Starting to regret this now."fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0

To answer some of the queries above, I had my contract number on my welcome letter, it started with a 9! It seems you get different stories from each member of staff you talk to, great
I signed up on 21 November and still cannot sign into my online account, I received a letter asking for my electricty reading couple of weeks ago but nothing yet for the Gas. Recent letters fro mthem say Electricty DD to start on 5/1 and Gas 5/2.
I'll tell you something they are going to make us earn that £180 getting this right"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
I had an email from EDF to log into my account and submit opening electricity reading which I have done ! but still had no contract pack to sign ?
I am still able to log into my old energy supplier and I am not sure whether to submit a reading so that account is up to date with the correct final reading or leave it for EDF to provide them with my final reading ?
Gas changes next week !
Hope you all get yours sorted soon !I just wonder if providing a meter reference point number on sign up helped things along it would be interesting to find that out .0 -

I provided my meter ref no. and it didn't make any difference, in fact, I'm starting to think my switch hasn't gone through at all."fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0
