Same here Jack, advised old supplier of electric meter read and it instantly generated an online bill which no doubt will adjust the DD.As you gas next week. No way a smooth process. But then part of the problems of moving over a double bank holiday. Will know better next time.0 -
I was unable to supply my old supplier with a meter reading , the section on thoer site under my account for in putting the reading was "unavailable"
I suspect they will get given the final reading from EDF that i gave them on the change over over day !!0 -
changed elec 3 weeks ago and gas last week ... still cant register for online account

I've been following this thread because I'm in the same position as most of you, waiting for the switch to go through.
Could I just ask... has everyone who is having dual fuel through EDF got 2 online account numbers?
I have one account number which opens to show the "Contract tracker" for both electricity and gas, when you click on the account number.
Then another account number which opens to show just my contact details when you click on it.
Is that the same for everyone else?0 -
My contract number and account number are the same and it begins with a 6.
On my online account it gave me a step by step guide to what stage the change over had reached
cooling period -registering process - contract letter sent (which I have not received yet) meter reading requested - date change over will take place
No just one account number for my dual fuel !0 -

I've managed to get 2 account numbers... one exactly as you described, and then another which just contains my contact details.

I may be completely wrong on this one but I thought I read somewhere that EDF had updated the online system and previously accounts had been starting with a 9 but now they start with a 6.
Maybe someone else could confirm this or maybe I just thought I had seen it and I am wrong !if so forget what I said
Have a look at post 75 I just wonder if the 2 account numbers are one for the new system and one for the old system0 -
My previously accounts start with a 7 so I guess you are somewhat wrong.0
