Wrong Names on bills

hi i'm just wandering say i was to have a couple of debts with say electric, gas and water but they are all slightly wrong on names on the bills i.e say Mr shane Hopper for lets say gas and electric and mr s hooper for water. these are not my name so i dont take those letters in my hand as there are not in my name, am i in the wrong or breaking any laws can anyone assist.

    If you used the gas or whatever then they are your debts. When they find out the name is wrong they will simply correct it.
  • Equally if you dispute it and they can reasonably prove it was you all along, you could be charged with deception or theft.

    I wouldn't want the criminal record against my name because of a bill I would only have to pay up eventually anyway.

    never mess with water, landregistry and credit reference is a good tool
