Simply switch won't give me my Amazon vouchers
I changed electricity suppliers through Simply Switch last October. The new contract ran from 8th November, but I'm still waiting for the promised Amazon vouchers. Despite 6 e-mails and four telephone calls the promised voucher code hasn't materialised. Customer service appears to be just one person (I have spoken to him…

Is there a new equivalent to Economy 7 or 10?
Hi, I seem to remember seeing recently on TV that there is a new tariff available which is similar to the old Economy 7 or Economy 10 tariffs, but can't remember which energy company it was with. We are on Economy 10 with E-on at the moment which I believe is no longer available. We have had problems in the past with E-on…

E-on Meter Reading, am i in trouble?
Hi I know this may seem naughty but when i was giving my meter reading to E-on for the winter bill i deliberately underestimated by 200 units, figuring that as prices come down in March that i would give an accurate reading in June and pay the 200 at a slightly cheaper eletric rate. Unfortunately E-on came today and i let…

Use comparison site now....or later?
I noticed that Npower have now mentioned their price decreases meaning that the large companies have all announced price changes. Martin's article appears to suggest that Energyhelping and SimplySwitch have updated their sites (others to do so shortly). Does this mean that these sites are showing tariff information after…

Is e-on gathering meter readings for southern electric instead of siemens now?
I got a card today from e.on asking me to write the meter readings for electricity on it and to leave the card outside my door (obviously I am working so I am never there when they come). Sneaky Price Hike by Total
Just checking our Gas bill and noticed that the price per unit has gone up by 0.375 pence, starting at the beginning of October. We have a fixed price contract so I phoned them. Unbelievably he said they had to put the price up because they couldn't afford the high prices! I see the contract says this can be done when the…

Cheaper Gas and Electricity with British Gas
When my bill arrived 6 months ago I was bored and decided to read the small print of the pricing booklet that they had sent. In tiny writing at the bottom fo the tarrif page was a note stating that if you earned less than £15000 PA and were claiming tax credits you could move to their essentials tarrif, saving money. I did…
