Would it be worth?
I've been thinking of stopping my monthly DD in favour of putting the mioney in an ISA every month and paying quaterly. I always end up at least £250 in credit on GAS and aroung £135 in credit on electric come December each year. I'm with Ebico for Gas and Scottish Power for electric. I currently pay £45 a month on gas and…

I rushed to take this out before the hike in prices and now wonder if I should take a look at all the new rates that are out - are they any cheaper than the one Im just in the process of switching to? My rate is only capped to October 09 should I look at capping or even fixing for a longer time ? Confused

Extortionate electric bill
We moved into our house in March and have just switched suppliers from British gas and have had a final bill for electric for £270, this is on top of the £85 I have already paid them and this is electric used up to 15th August, so essentially £350 for electric used for 4 months. (I read the meter when we moved in) Now, the…

Why has my electricity useage increased?
I don't have a clue? I usually take monthly readings and submit them online to EON, I was a bit late this month (around a week). They have an energy tracker, which shows August as going up loads! I can't think of anything that we could have used more than the previous month, certainly not enough to virtually double the…

Energy Switch Problems
At the end of July I signed up with Energyhelpline to switch to British Gas for a duel-fuel fixed rate deal, paying quarterly when billed. Seemed pretty good as I would also get £15 cashback, or so I thought. A few weeks later I get a welcome letter from British Gas but stating that I had agreed to quarterly billing on gas…

Gas prices are no higher than last year
http://markets.ft.com/tearsheets/performance.asp?s=us@ng.1 If you select the yearly period gas prices are no higher or only marginally higher than last year, how can the gas companies justify the huge hikes in gas prices? When will the gas compnies be cutting prices as the cost of gas has plummeted. Infact if you select…

Kalirel - what has been your experience?
Hi everyone I thought I would start this thread as I have found next to no reviews on the internet about this "revolutionary" heating system from France. My experience has been that they are not the energy-efficient, low-running-cost heating system that I was mislead to believe. Indeed my energy bill has soared in the last…

Help! Scottish Hydro Electric
I need some advice. I have been a Scottish Hydro Electric customer for a long time now, when they put up their prices last month I panicked. I phoned them and found out I was eligible for their Energy Care Plus scheme where I get 20% back every 3 months, so I though all was good. I am a prepayment customer and…

The 'Wrong Type' of Electricity Meter?
I am posting in desperation - desperate for a solution and curious to know if anyone else has had this problem. It seems that whatever I do, I can't switch electricity provider and when I try, the new provider often shifts me back to the old one after a few weeks. To fill in a few more details to my circumstances, I live…
