Hi, I have been waiting for all the the major elec and gas suppliers to put up their prices, and now they have I have gone on several comparison sites to find cheaper fuel.
Im currently with EDF. I have a record of all Elec and Gas Kilowatts and the cost during the last year and have used these to find a cheaper supplier. EON comes out one of the cheapest and you get Tesco points.
I have found that by doing some calculations myself, it maybe cheaper to go back to paying a standing charge and paying less for the units?
Has any one else found the same? Ray

Is your calculation based on EONs new tariffs, as my bills came this week, and part of them are at the new higher rate they have introduced? Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0

If you don't mind switching (let's be honest it's hardly difficult, time consuming work) then why not play the energy companies at their own game and switch 4 times per year through a cashback site? It's what I have done for a while (and several others on here also do). On average, there's around £250 per year cashback available for doing this. As long as you sign up to each company's cheapest (invariably online) tariff there really isn't a huge price difference between them and by doing this 4 times you tend to get a full quarter with each company, thereby minimising the Tier 1 (or a standing charge by a different name!) effect.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0
