If you select the yearly period gas prices are no higher or only marginally higher than last year, how can the gas companies justify the huge hikes in gas prices?

When will the gas compnies be cutting prices as the cost of gas has plummeted.

Infact if you select interative charting you can see gas prices are actually half what they
were 3 years ago

This is sick.

  • Didn't you know? This year it's the price of oil that determines the price of gas *

    * Until it started plummeting in price, of course. We await the next theory on why gas prices continue to rise.

Oil is no more expensive than it was in January, probably a different story at the pump.

Will we be seeing corresponding decreases in the price of food

Those are American prices. The amount of gas we import from America is tiny (by ship: no pipelines). You want to look at European prices.
