When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

MBNA lump sum offers?
I am just entering a DMP with PayPlan, but have been making token payments to MBNA since May. I owe them about 11K, they have called me and said they would take 7K (about 70%) as a lump sum. Funnily enough, I have exactly zero available to give them. My mum may possibly be able to help, but certainly not to the tune of 7K.…

HSBC Advice
HSBC has written to me asking how I intend to repay about my overdrawn balance of £245. I've offered to repay them £20 a month in the hope that this will get them off my backs and eventually pay off the debt without me getting into a worse situation. Do you think they'll accept this? I've moved my everyday account to…

This one is a corker and defo different to others.
Bit of a long post but, I think you should love this one. Long story short......... when I was getting divorced (the first one) the Judge was kind enough to transfer all the money owed (we had joint accounts) to my name. This was irrespective of the fact that before I had caught on she had gone and overdrew in the current…
