When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

Morning Everyone,

:j hello to everyone who posts today!

Grey here in North Hampshire and I think today is going to be one of those days  so I am just going to keep my head down and wish the day away!

Only a smallish list from me today.
Today I have/will:
• Checked online banking
• Meals from storecupboards
• Enter comps online
• Have a LSD – need to buy a bus pass, but that is budgeted for
• Go to the library after work to get a new book
• Look in the local papers for jobs in the local area
• When I get home job search online
• Work on my 101 list
• Work really hard at work
• Catch up on yesterday’s forum activity after I had logged off

Think that is about it…..have a great day everyone

    Morning Everyone,

    3) Look for new mystery shopping companies -done Signed up with another 3 now trying to decide on a target amount for August
    4) Check online banking - done
    5) Update my company accounts and budget - Have a LSD only spend on essential budgeted items - Book has fallen down the back of the filing cabinet will have to wait till DH comes in to retrieve it.
    6) Look for new work contracts - done Applied for 5 more
    7) Look into Barefoot Books and Jamie At Home - done Not sure about them so will put them off till I have a think.
    8) Daily scratchies - done
    9) Complete some more course work for my home study course - look at assignment feedback which I keep putting off
    10) Enter competitions that are due to end - done Fingers crossed
    11) Sort out the bills that need to be paid this week - done
    12) Complete the writing work that needs to be in today - done
    13) Catch up with the washing - hang outside if it stays nice
    14) Start work on some of my blogs - done
    15) Look for a part time job - done Nothing that I really want however I have printed off 5 reasonable ones so will follow them up later today or tomorrow
    16) Return missed calls from the weekend (in case any of them are work) - done One was a work call so I have a day of temping in the diary for this week.:j
    17) Sort the notes from the training weekend (which happened 6 weeks ago)
    18) Sort out work for tomorrow and update diary - done
    19) Walk the dog - done Theres nothing beats free exercise on a lovely sunny day
    20) Lunch & Dinner Homemade – no take aways - done, Much to the disappointment of DS

Well another busy day for me typical when it is going to be a nice day oh well I better get started.

good news is, it will be a NSD - as I've not got any money until next weekend :o

    Have a good day everyone!!!!

ETA - Well i had no option but to make a start as not long after i posted a guy knocked on the door to come and do some work on our bathroom. I was in my pjs! And he was eyeballing me! He is not attractive. LOL. Said i didn't know he was coming otherwise i would have been sorted (or at least not in my pjs) They are meant to phone afterall. What if i had been out??????????? Anyway. DON'T COMPLAIN. Least it is getting done!

I have been busy cleaning this morning. Have done DS' room. Everywhere else is such a mess with cleaning "in progress". Going to do our bedroom next...haven't done any actual work yet either! So i best getting cracking as it's nearly one!!!!!!

ETA - Progress...going to put the 2nd load of washing on the airer (boooo rain), then do a bit of work before making mac cheese. OH will be impressed with me today! Looking forward to him coming home. Going to do some work later while he entertains DS then will flunk in front of the tele and do all my MSE/research. I am such a busy beaver today - not sure what's happened!!!!!!!
