Horray - OH moving nearer to LB moment
Looks like all my moaning about OH's debt and 'gentle encouragement' to get his backside on here might pay off. He has been looking for a job (after being self employed for years - which IMHO is what got him in this mess) and was looking for about £35k, which will just cover his debt and his contribution to our house and…

Have you ever done something you thought was moneysaving but actually isn't?
I am a bit annoyed with myself. It's a friend's hen weekend this weekend, and we're off to sunny Spain. Lots of the other girls are going on Thursday night but to save money (flight was cheaper, one less night food and accomodation) I am going Friday night. However I have just worked out that a taxi from the airport to the…

Can you pay credit with credit?
I have a loan with a ridiculous interest rate (15.9%) and I want to move it to something with a cheaper rate. I have fairly good credit score (870) and the balance is about £5700. I was thinking of trying to pay it with a 0% card like the post office one, but I don't know if they'd give me that kind of limit. Also I don't…

Is this behaviour dumb?
My OH has told me that one of the things I do each month is anti-DFW & dumb. Each month on the 1st I put £200 into my ISA until the point in the month where I run out of money & put £100 back in drips & drabs (the rest is the monthly budget for quarterly bills) His pov is that the ISA is 5% whereas the o/d is 14%. So i'm…

Little advice please.
As my loans are fixed payments, if I overpay they just take less the next month. So what I'm doing at the moment is saving spare cash onto my CC, bringing the interest down on it too, until I save up enough money to ask for a settlement figure from the loan and pay it off. At the end of this month I will have £1000 saved.…

Feeling angry with myself
If I hadn't spent so much on my cards my bf wouldn't have to live 45 miles away working because if he moved in my reduction in benefits would mean that we couldn't afford my credit card bills plus other bills and rent and council tax.I miss him already and it's going to be at least 6 months to a year before my debts reduce…
