"Updated" dates
Can anyone explain why all the credit cards on my Experian/CreditExpert report are shown as updated on the 4th of the month, and all the current accounts on the 18th, whereas accounts on my Equifax report have apparently random dates?

Defaults just dropped off - question
Hi all, I previously had 3 defaults, two of which have dropped off my credit report (Experian today) - the other last month. They were dated 31/03/2012 so I was pretty impressed that my Experian credit report reflected these changes as soon as exactly 6 years later. I went to look at taking out a loan and balance transfer…

Can I ditch my credit card?
So I've had a credit card for the last 5 years. I've been using it to build a credit rating (cycling about 15% of the limit each month and paying it off to build up a 'credit history'). I don't really want one though. I find owning a credit card to be a source of stress. I'm always worried a direct debit won't come out etc…

Overpayments on credit file/history
Appreciating that any missed or underpayments get flagged up as a 'black mark 'on credit file, by contrast, it one makes small overpayments-on mortgage for example-do they similarly get noted on credit file/history ,and thus improve ones credit rating ; or do overpayments simply go unnoticed/unrecorded 'centrally' and thus…

Welsh Water CCJ
I have just searched my Equifax credit file and have discovered that I have a default CCJ for £700 from Welsh water. This was first registered 12 months ago. The water is in joint names with the Mrs. Up until recently the Mrs was in charge of paying bills etc. For the last 2 years or so she has suffered with anxiety and…

Credit reports
Evening everyone, can you help please? About 8 years ago I closed my business and missed some payments on a loan I had with Natwest. They subsequently took me to court and had a CCJ registered against me which has now been settled and the CCJ no longer appears in my file. We've recently applied for a mortgage and the…

Been a victim of ID Fraud
So somone tried to open up 2 credit card applications in my name. Luckily LLoyds bank flagged them up as possibly fraudulent and nothing was processed. I checked my Noddle and Checkmyfile accounts and they have listed an "enquiry search" on their files from RBS Lloyds. Now Lloyds have informed me and will confirm in…

Balance 1 +0 2. +1285 Does this mean there’s 2 months until it drops off? Or do I have to wait until October??? Hopefully that all makes sense I…

Experian Credit Report - Print Layout Varies?
I'm trying to print a credit report for each of my parents. When I log in for my dad, on the experian website, it forwards to creditexpert.co.uk and allows you to print in a very user-friendly format. When I log in on the experian website for my mum, it forwards to ins.experian.co.uk and gives you a very poor layout to…

Hi, My wife recently switched from Clydesdale Bank to Natwest a few weeks after setting up a finance agreement for our new boiler a few weeks earlier. This is with Hitachi Finance. The switch happened as planned, via the DD Switch Guarantee scheme, and other regular payments were successfully coming out of the new account.…

GDPR Advice
Hi, Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else but I'm looking for some advice. Can I excerise my right to be forgotten by all CRAs then? If so, how do I do this? Also, I wouldn't be looking to take any new credit out, but what would happen to my existing credit cards for example?

Satisfaction Date Dispute
Morning all, Wonder if I can rely on the expertise on here...again. Situation is. I defaulted on a Credit Card in 2014 to the tune of £2000. Sort of extenuating circumstances, but ultimately my fault. I agreed a payment plan for this right away and the last direct debit came out of my account in December 2016. My account…

Normal for Credit Score to drop after moving?
Is it normal for your credit rating to take a beating when you get a mortgage and sofa on finance? I already had a Credit Card before I moved and used £2.5k of it for furniture and new carpets. The sofa was purchased shortly after moving. I am not worried about my debt - I am paying minimum payments without fail and have…

Debt type perception by mortgage lenders
Hi all, first post so please bear with me...! I've got some credit card debt left, which I'm trying to clear, and start saving for a house. I've also recently decided to try to sell my car and swap it for something smaller/cheaper/more economical, but intend to sell mine, free up the cash to clear my credit cards, and…
