Monthly car insupayments on credit file?

I pay car insurance monthly but notice it is not on any of the 3 credit files. Should it be? I think it would improve my desirability to lenders and perhaps my score if I were to have it on there.

Not if they don't report.
Remember it's not your score you need to improve, but your history. A credit card will do that the most effectively.0 -
How long have you been paying the car insurance ? If just say a month then it might be its waiting to be updated, I suspect you have been paying it for a while.
You can save money if you pay it 1 go.0 -
Been paying it for about 18months. Will pay cash if I can afford it at renewal. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
