Credit Card Balance transfer
Hi, I recently transferred a balance form one credit card to another. A couple of days later my direct debit failed. I have now breached the terms of my balance transfer and do not get my 0% period. Is there a 'cooling off period' for balance transfers? Could I therefore reverse it? If not is there any other way to…

Has anyone heard of this? On Saturday, my husband applied for the Halifax One Card. Me and my husband have perfect credit, and have our mortgage with Halifax. We have previous credit history that we've paid off. We were preapproved for the card by Halifax, and he applied online. After applying online, we got a rejection…

Credit card alternatives.
This is kind of a follow-up to Tazz360's post about how to stop using a credit card. I currently have services for my work that require online credit card payments because there is no other way you can pay. I used to have a Paypal credit card that took straight out of my Paypal account which was handy but they no longer…

Naughty Tesco 0% balance transfer offer
I use my existing Tesco Clubcard Credit Card for the vast majority of our monthly spending, but last month got a leaflet about a 0% balance transfer for 12 months. So, as an offer on another card was finishing, I took up the offer and transferred £1300 to it. I always pay off my monthly spending, and was thus gutted when I…

How to stop using credit card?
Hi people. I have a Lloyds TSB credit card and was given a £3,500 limit that I maxed out back in September. I didn’t want to use the card again, so I cut it up and started paying it off with £300 per month. Recently I have been struggling a bit and with Christmas coming up, I have used the card online, the long 16 digit…

Mis-sold credit card?
I opened up a student account with Natwest in 2009 to get the free railcard, and I was told at the time I could only get this student account and free railcard if I also signed up to the credit card and savings account, which I did. I've used the card on and off for the past three years, never managing to meet the…

Do Charge Cards Benefit Credit Rating?
Hi guys, Title pretty much says it all. Do Charge Cards (Amex in this case) benefit your credit rating in the same way that using a credit card and paying off in full each month does? Setting your monthly payments
I wonder if any of you guys have come up against this too. Amex Preferred Rewards Gold Card
Does anyone have this card and intend to keep it beyond the first (fee free) year? I’m struggling to see its benefits having looked at what you can get for your points.
