Seems a little of an odd thing for an MSE article (and late given when the emails were sent)
Certainly for some there is also 20% off most of Selfridges at the weekend as well0 -
I have 3 Amex cards, think I can just go to Boots 3 times and buy 3 x £50 gift cards, for a total of £75?Be kind to all moneysavers0

I think you can if you register all three. It certainly works that way for the £5 shop small cashback deal.
And further to that, they talk about locations not merchants and there are five different Boots stores listed. Surely it's only one £25 cashback per merchant, not per location?0 -
Its a one time only £25 cashback per card. So you don't get it in each retail location. (unlike the current £5 shop small). So once you have got £25 back, thats all folks!
From the AmexWestEnd T&C's:
To be eligible for the one time only £25 statement credit, you must register your American Express Card at amex.co.uk/shopwestend and use the registered Card to make a purchase of £50 or more at participating "Shop West End VIP" locations between November 24 and November 25, 2012. Online transactions are excluded. Limit one statement credit per Card.
However, there is nothing stopping you from registering the three amex cards and getting £75.
Supplementary cards issued to spouses will also be eligible providing they have a different card number.
For example, me and Mrs MikeTaff both have a platinum cashback Amex on the same account. Different card numbers so can register each card for the current promotions.
But, we also have MBNA United Airlines AMEX cards on the same account. These cards have the same number, so only one of them is eligible.
PS. Dont forget if you are in London, you can sync your card to a foursquare account and (before end DEC I think) and get £25 cashback for a £25 spend in Harvey Nichols. So if you have three cards, you can get 3 x £25 cashback. But you will need to set up three different foursquare accounts to go with each card.0 -
Just tried with a LloydsTSB AMEX with logo on blue background and was told that I am not eligible.0

Understand what you're saying but the above still reads to me as location not merchant but I would be amazed if it is. I may test the water with a £50 Boots voucher just in casemiketaff1408 wrote: »PS. I work 10 mins walk from Harvey Nics so will get involved in some foursquare action too - thanks0 -
I also tried registering my LLoyds TSb amex card (w. blue logo) and was told that it's not eligible to participate... Haven't been able to find out why that is...0

Same, I was told I was not eligible with my Lloyds TSB Amex, even though it explicitly says they are eligible in the small print.0
