Credit Card Balance transfer

Hi,
I recently transferred a balance form one credit card to another.
A couple of days later my direct debit failed. I have now breached the terms of my balance transfer and do not get my 0% period.
Is there a 'cooling off period' for balance transfers? Could I therefore reverse it?
If not is there any other way to challenge this?
