MBNA Letter - Legal loan sharking?
I have recently received a leter from MBNA giving me new rates for my credit card. They quote 2.5292% monthly for ALL services including card purchases, balance transfers, credit crad cheque transactions and cash transactions. This is the equivalent of 34.2% APR. What on earth is going on? Has anyone else had this letter?…

What are Egg 'Collections Specialists'?
Egg have become beyond a joke. Just before christmas I ended up going overlimit on Egg Money by £9, now if they had processed deposits before debits like most banks seem to then this wouldn't have happened. What happened was there was a payment GAME PLC for £19.99 which shows on the statement dated 8th December (taking me…

Switching to another 0% credit card
Hi all. I've never done this before, so just wondered just how easy it is to do. I currently owe around £650 on my Halifax CC. The 0% offer is due to end next month, so typical APR will be 15.9%. So was thinking it would make better financial sense to switch to another card if possible. What's the best way to go about…

Just out of curiosity, when you buy something on line with a credit card on a protected site it gets encrypted. Who actually gets to see your card details? Is it visible to someone from the site you're purchasing from or does it go straight through to the bank?
