Is it worth complaining about interest rates?
Dear all, I have a CC with Virgin and a CC with Egg. Both have money owing on them, a roughly equal amount on each. However, I recieved a letter last week from Virgin, advising me they are raising my interest rate for purchases, balance transfers and cheques to 27.9%, but the typical APR quoted on their website is much…

What's cheapest way of using credit card for foreign currency?
I've got a MINT card and need to use it for spending money (about £300) in New York. Is it best to do a cash advance in the UK and then convert it to dollars in Marks and Spencers or is it cheaper just to use the credit card to buy the dollars? I take it using it abroad in an ATM will be extremely expensive. Thanks

Do Credit Searches Really Affect Your Credit Rating?
I see numerous posts about too many credit searches having an adverse affect on your credit rating. I'm not sure they do. I think other factors have far more of an affect. My research is by no means scientific but based on my own experience. Last weekend I applied for three credit cards and a bank account in the space of…

Card Advice Please
Hi, I have currently got a Halifax and a M&S CC. I am hoping to BT everything of these two cards onto a Virgin CC. I know from Martin's guides that you should never spend on a BT CC. What would therefore be the best thing to do from here regarding a CC to spend on? By spend on I mean spend and pay it off in full the same…

Same PIN for credit/debit cards?
On the back (shamelessly!) of another thread about "what have you got in your wallet?" there was mention of how many of us have the same PIN for our credit or debit cards. Thread here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=878997 Out of curiosity do you have the same PIN for more than two of your cards?
