Keep or close?

I have several cards currently with zero balance, or due to end next month, and wondered whether it's worth keeping any of them open - maybe try for a repeat deal

LTSB Advance - keeping as have had repeat deals before
Nationwide - keeping to use abroad
MBNA Platinum
Sky
Mint - low credit limit so may as well ditch anyway

Also have the following with balances on them:

Barclays Platinum - 14mth 0%
Egg visa - LOB 6.9%
M&S - LOB 3.9%
Egg Money - monthly spend/mule card
Tesco Platinum - monthly spend card

call u for a new deal, if they don't offer you one, close:
LTSB Advance, MBNA Platinum, Sky and Mint.

doesn't look good to have too much credit available.

Do not close MBNA. In my experience, they're as good as LTSB for repeats. :)

Long time since I had a Mint card, so no recent experience.

You can get 99p a month out of an old mint card....

Spend (slightly) over 99p on any item each month
Before the statement is produced, make a payment to bring the balance down to 99p exactly
Statement is then credited with 99p by Mint - to a balance of '0.00' - by something called a 'small balance writeoff'

[Works with RBS issued cards - including Tesco cards]
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam
