Expired Goldfish points
Having received a statement of account from Goldfish, I was happy to see I had more than 14,000 points. I phone up a month after the statement date (it took a good two weeks to get to me thanks to the post) only to be told all the points have expired. No mention was made on the statement that they were about to expire, or…

Minimum payments
Until last year I could only manage to pay the minimum payment each month on my credit cards. However, things improved once I started to transfer balances and manage my money etc and I can now pay more than the minimum. On my Lloyds TSB card I pay a set £80 each month by direct debit, most of this is reducing my balance as…

Chances of a non-instant decision getting accepted?
I applied for the Capital One balance transfer card last Thursday (this is the one offering 6 months interest free with a 0% transfer fee). They didn;t give me an on-line decision, and said they would write to me within 7 days (still waiting at the mo). Does this make it unlikely that I will get accpeted? And if I do get…

Longest low-rate balance transfer cards?
I'm looking to borrow about £4000 on credit to keep the interest low, looking to pay it off over about 5 years. I've applied for the Citi one mentioned in Martin's article and been accepted but I'm still waiting for it to come, and I'd guess they wouldn't give me a credit limit anywhere near that so I might need 2/3 cards.…

We saw this on the tv show last week and got quite excited about it: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cards/barclaycard-offer-loophole My partner tried to do this today and was told that as he had 'no offers for a balance transfer" because he only has £15 of credit available he was refused. He said he wanted to transfer…

Help-looking for a pre-pay credit card.
Hi I have recently heard about pre-pay credit cards and I would like to get one for on-line transactions. Does anybody know where I can get one, how to top up, how much the card actually costs upfront and if any are better than others? I would welcome any advice and opinions. Thanks.
