Help Please!!!
I just found out today (hubby kept it rather quiet! ) that our Natwest Gold Card is maxed out!!! The prob is that we haven't been spending on it because I made him cut it up to try and get ourselves out of debt. What has happened is that the fraud insurance on it, that he says he had cancelled years ago, hadn't…

How long until you should re-apply ?
Alright folks ? I applied for a C/C a few months ago and was refused. I'm assuming this was because I'd missed a couple of payments on my current card. However, these last few months things have got a lot better and I've been paying well over the minimum payment. Now I'd like to take advantage of this 'stoozing' that…

Paying Off a Credit Card
My credit card with HSBC is set up to take the minimum balance from my account. I now have the funds to pay it off in total, but missed the deadline set on my last statement. My next statement should arrive by about the 16th and give me a deadline of about the 23rd to pay. Presumably, if I do this, I'll not pay any further…

Minimum payment taken despite £0 balance!!!
Last Wednesday, I payed my Egg CC bill in full, and according to EMM the money cleared into their account on the 24th, and the balance was £0. Today I log into my current account to find that Egg have taken what would have been the minimum payment (£53.43) despite the fact that my balance says £0. I'm so  because I…

Cashback versus loyalty points?
Hi moneysavers, here's a poser for you, I currently have a goldfish ( formerly MS Platinum) cashback card that pays 1% cashback. I used to use a Tesco credit card which paid 1 point per £4 spent. The point is worth 1p but I always use it for deals = 4p. Both cards get paid off in full every month. It seems to me that I…

First Statement
I have my first credit card and have yet to receive my first statement. I understand it takes a few days to pay the card company via internet banking or telebanking/post etc so my question is do they allow a few days after you receive the statement for a payment to go through before charging interest?

Paid most of CC balance - charged interest on full amount. Advice please.
Hi I recently got my credit card bill and found that I had an interest charge of £12.39 upon it. When I phoned up to query it I was told it was because I had inadvertantly underpaid my previous bill by £9.03 and they were charging me interest on the full bill (not just the bit that wasn't paid off in time). When I…

Advice required on old debt - over 10 years old
Hello everyone. In the mid -nineties I had a bit of a breakdown (debt and bereavement related) and ended up in a lot of debt. The majority of this I eventually paid off, a little at a time over the next seven years, however there remained an unpaid item: a credit card (£2000) which seemed to slip though the net. I have…
