Cashback versus loyalty points?

Hi moneysavers, here's a poser for you, I currently have a goldfish ( formerly MS Platinum) cashback card that pays 1% cashback. I used to use a Tesco credit card which paid 1 point per £4 spent. The point is worth 1p but I always use it for deals = 4p. Both cards get paid off in full every month. It seems to me that I would be just as well off reactivating my Tesco credit card and using that instead of goldfish card because if I did screw up and have to pay interest for a month the interest rate is better. There would also be the extra clubcard points in occasional promotions. However my maths is often painfully dodgy so I am a bit wary of committing myself to the decision. Can any brainy types out there confirm my suspicions? Many thanks from Jandy
