First Statement

I have my first credit card and have yet to receive my first statement. I understand it takes a few days to pay the card company via internet banking or telebanking/post etc so my question is do they allow a few days after you receive the statement for a payment to go through before charging interest?

  • Yes, you usually get about two weeks. Hope that helps.

As an example, my Ulster Bank statement arrived 17th August. Minimum payment due by date was 8th September so allowing say 7 days (1st September) before that you have just over 2 weeks to make the payment.
