Stoozing..minimum amount considered?
just out of interest I wondered what other MSErs would consider as the minimum borrowed amount on a 0% cc deal, say for 6 months assuming no BT fees involved. did any of you start really small with your first stooze?

Liverpool Victoria SBT
Having suffered the ignominy of being turned down by Virgin , my thoughts somehow turned to Liverpool Victoria. I rang them to enquire about SBTs - they say they don't do it as such but issue cheques which if paid into a current a/c still attract the 0% interest for 6 months with NO cash advance or handling charges. Seems…

Credit File - why is so much missing?
Following some lovely person's advice on this site (thank you!), I took Experian up on their kind offer of a credit report 30 day free trial, and found to my surprise, that very little information was actually recorded there. I've currently got 3 credit cards - only 1 was noted. And of the 3 that I've had in the past and…

Some Practical Advice?
I've had a look around for this but couldn't find it so thought I'd ask here. I'm a complete Credit Card virgin & thus what I ask is potentially an embarassingly stupid question. What is the liklihood of an eighteen year old person, still doing their A Levels with a part time job, got of being accepted for a Credit Card.…

Advice on how to negotiate new deal
Hi all, As described in other thread, my application to several CC companies have been refused. I'll have to wait a while before start applying again. In the mean time I would like to get some help on how I can "negotiate" with my current provider and get for instance another 0% BT or purchase? Basically I've got a Lloyds…

Capital One - Processing Errors?
I applied for a 5.9% life-of-balance rate card in anticipation of the 0% market collapsings. It's that low rate for any BT's done in the first six months. They refused me at first, but then just yesterday I got a letter saying that the refusal was due to a 'processing error' and that they can now offer me the card and to…

Egg 0% for BTs for 8.5 months
As of yesterday (16/12/04) Egg have extended their balance transfer offer to 0% until 1 September 2005. Could be a good time to apply. Purchases are 0% 1 July 2005, but of course you should avoid using the card for these if you want to maximize the use of the 0% BT offer. Cheers, DT

Re: balance transfers and purchases
Some cards will offer 0% on both balance transfers and purchases: the Halifax/Bank of Scotland "One" card offer period is 9 months and there's 0.25% cashback on purchases. More here.
