oddness 3: promotional rate transfer is only up to £5000, regardless of credit limit given.

[Is your 2% fee not capped at £35 for promotional rate transfers anyway? Barclaycard are now like a cross between Capital one - 'price for risk' rates & MBNA - with BT fees]

  • I hate Barclaycard. Any major bank that does credit cards is almost certainly going to offer you a rotten deal and/or lots of restrictions/ T&C's.

I wouldn't agree. I'm very happy with my LLoydsTSB Advance card. It only has the purchases catch which doesn't affect us stoozers. And my First Direct (HSBC) card has no unusual T&C.

Barclaycard, however, are infamous for complicated and tricky catches in the T&C. I don't much like them either.

Second that one for a different reason though - a credit limit of £950 !!!

There is really no reason to keep a Barclaycard...

Come 1-Aug-05 we should all be sending them back... >:(

PS Walletwatch - Did you know you can ask them to up your credit limit online. I recently got mine increased from £2.5K to £4K. I'm using it for 0% purchases.
