Capital One - Processing Errors?

Options
I applied for a 5.9% life-of-balance rate card in anticipation of the 0% market collapsings. It's that low rate for any BT's done in the first six months.

They refused me at first, but then just yesterday I got a letter saying that the refusal was due to a 'processing error' and that they can now offer me the card and to sign and date the agreement if I wanted it.

Anybody know what this 'processing' error would have been?

'Processing error' in itself sounds innocent enough, what is baffling though is that your application got re-picked up, and got processed successfully.

To me, it looks more like an end-of-year relook at target numbers, and a decision to relax some earlier credit check requirements as one way to increase the customer base. If this is the case, guess this is the right time to apply for one ;D
