Cheque cashing time limit
I have a YBS issued cheque dated June 2015 with a refund of overpayments from when I came out of my employer's share save scheme. Can this cheque still be deposited into a current account or will I need to get the cheque re-issued? I must have forgot all about it last summer and just come across it in a pile of paperwork.

Bank account to save for a holiday
Hi can anyone advise if any banks are offering incentives to open an account (not switching)? I just want an easy access bank account to save for a holiday, but that I can pay for stuff from (e.g. travel insurance, hotel bill etc) or can easily/quickly transfer to a current account to do the payments? Thanks in advance:

Scared to switch!
So I've banked with HSBC all my life and have come to the conclusion that I want to switch. I'm thinking TSB due to the high interest rate on 2k, which is generally around about the amount I tend to have in my current account. I'm not sure why but something is stopping me from taking the plunge! Has anyone got any…

Citi Plus Current Account changes....
Hi. Just had an email telling me I need to pay £3500 into my account every month from 1 October 2016 or they will charge me £15. Either that or maintain a balance of £30,000 to avoid the charge. Previously I needed to credit £1800 per month to avoid an £8 fee. I am posting this to ask if anyone else has had a similar…

Paypal Wallet confirmation code timescale.
I have power of attorney over my mother's financial affairs and have found that a British Gas DD has somehow got transferred from her sole Santander 123 to the joint 123 a/c she holds with me (BG changed a payment schedule, possibly back to the account it previously came from). I think she may be missing a DD set up for…

Stacking Standing Orders
I've been following the tips on the site, particularly the ones with setting up multiple current accounts to max out the interest. This includes some which have a minimum monthly pay in. I've been manually (through internet banking) moving money between accounts, but wanted to set up Standing Orders (SO) to do this, e.g.…

Major issues with HSBC, fraud and refusing to refund
OK, I'll try and keep this brief, I've had a current account for around 12 years with HSBC, no problems to speak of other than once ordering £7,500 in cash weeks in advance, arrived to collect and 4 hours in branch being nothing short of interrogated about why, it was for a car from a friend by the way, but anyway I…

HSBC Coin machine: add to balance of HSBC credit card?
Having recently sacrificed my little used HSBC current account for a switching bribe, I still have my HSBC credit card left over. I am wondering whether I will be able to deposit my loose coins into my local HSBC's coin machine and have the sum added to the balance of my HSBC credit card? Do the machines support this, or…

Is leaving a high balance in a Current account daft ?
Just looking for a bit of advice, mainly to make sure I am saying the right thing !. I have a friend who insists on having a large balance in their NatWest Current account (About £15k), I said that was insane as you could open 3 x Bank Of Scotland Vantage accounts and get up to 3% interest, that’s around £37 a month in…

High current account interest -- using it for savings
Current account interest rates are high and the changes to allowances for savings at the moment but I always feel reluctant to have £1000s of savings in my current account. I'm thinking of keeping my current account and opening a second current account with TSB to use as my day-to-day. And then not using my card or any…

Euro Account
Having read other post on this forum I was wondering if there was any new information on Euro accounts available to UK citizens. Euro current account
Hi Lucky enough to start a new job fairly soon, only little niggle is, I would get paid in Euros (company is set up in Germany if that makes any difference) while my account in the UK is set up in Pound Sterling, and also I would still be living in the UK. Question I got is: What would be my options with regards to…
