Hi

Lucky enough to start a new job fairly soon, only little niggle is, I would get paid in Euros (company is set up in Germany if that makes any difference) while my account in the UK is set up in Pound Sterling, and also I would still be living in the UK.

Question I got is:
What would be my options with regards to receiving monthly salary paid in Euros into a UK bank account, or, what would be the best way of transferring Money (Euro's) from a German current bank account into the UK without having to pay over the odds every time I transfer.
Any information would be very much appreciated.

Having your salary in euros paid directly into your UK sterling account by bank transfer will involve bank charges and a bad exchange rate, which are likely to be borne by yourself unless your employer is flexible in the way that they send it.

The most cost effective way for both parties would be to use a service such as TransferWise, costing the sender 0.5% with conversion at the ideal interbank rate.

If they refuse to do that, you should try to open a euro account in Germany or elsewhere and send the funds over yourself using TransferWise.
