Lloyds refuses to give me a contactless debit card...
So, to cut a long story short, this is due (presumably) to low credit score. Long story: Came to the UK about 14 months ago., for work reasons, so I already had a job when I landed. Opened my account on arrival (Club Lloyds account). My salary has been paid into that account ever since. Initially I wasn't given a contact…

Have more than the specified amount in account for interest
Some bank accounts offer interest on up to a certain amount, and any amount over will not receive interest. Example phrase below from Nationwide: "You'll earn interest on the first £2,500 of your balance each month but you won't get any interest on any part of your balance over £2,500." The interest rate for that bank…

Met Chief says that banks shouldn't necessarily refund due to fraud
http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/mar/24/dont-refund-online-victims-met-chief-tells-banks I do see his point. Whilst it is in the banks interests to have us all banking online I feel that we must all take responsibility on our internet security. Even with up to date virus definitions etc., it's possible to be…

Online banking security - why all so different?
Why it is that different banks have such different methods of online banking security? TSB/Halifax/First Direct/Santander all seem to manage without any kind of extra security device apart from a mobile phone. Nationwide has a card reader but I can generally avoid using that as it's only necessary for making a payment to a…

Scam, or genuine email from Nationwide?
From Nationwide's Internet Banking Security advice: I've received this email, which claims to have been sent by Nationwide: My Post Code isn't mentioned, it's not sent from either of the email addresses mentioned and it looks pretty shoddy. However, the V.me service is being closed on 30th March, the email doesn't solicit…

Private Banking - Lloyds or NatWest
Purely Hypothetical Question, but in terms of 'Poshness' and for those that like to show off which Private Bank out of Lloyds or NatWest is better ?. I think Lloyds as although both NatWest and Lloyds private banking cards are Black, the Lloyds one says Private Banking on it, NatWest just says Black. Lloyds also seems more…
