My recently widdowed step-mother needs to arrange to receive uk pension. She lives in Turkey, has done for several years, so no uk addr or credit history. Bank account Turnover?
I have a club Lloyds account which charges £5 a month if turnover is less than £1500 a month. I have enough going in to waive the cost. But I'm curious as I do a lot of transferring money between my bank accounts. Would transferring money between my accounts also qualify as turnover or is it just pay coming in from work…

Switching to Yorkshire + DD timeline query
I would like to switch my new Lloyds account to Yorkshire Bank, the deadline being the 31st March (unless this offer is removed before then). Problem is that the 2 x direct debits to Lloyds won't go in until the 8th April at the earliest. Does this mean I will miss the deadline, or can I apply for the Yorkshire account on…

Coventry First Current Account
Sadly, the Coventry has now removed this account from its range and is no longer in the Current Account market. This appears to even have gone unnoticed on MSE as this took place late 2015 and I can't find any comments or threads when I do a search. This account I opened when it first came about in 2006 and was marketed as…

Online banking using two-step authentication
I would like to increase my online security when I do online banking by logging in using two-step authentication by means of Google Authenticator. Does anyone know if any UK banks provide this facility and, if not why not, since this is now such a well established and simple means of increasing online security.

Club Lloyds Monthly Saver Interest Rate
I recently opened a Club Lloyds account and took out the Regular Monthly Saver account with an advertised rate of 4%. On logging into my account the interest rate stated is only 0.25%. I know the interest is added at the end of the year but is there any reason they have the rate applied so low?

Golden Era
Are we in a golden era of banks competing for current account customers by offering switching bonuses and loss-making credit interest? How long will it last? As at the end of 2015, I had 4 current accounts:- (1) Santander 123, opened in June 2014, maxed from opening to £20K for 3% interest, with all usual DD's paid from…

Disaster Switching to First Direct
Have a gripe list as long as my arm as to why I am not happy with the switching service with First Direct. A surprise as MSE has raved about their customer service!
