Student account deficit banking enquiries
Hi. I just got my Halifax Student A/c up and running. Was granted a £1,000 interest free overdraft. I am thinking of doing what was suggested in Martin's article about deficit banking, i.e. transferring the interest free OD to a decent savings account to earn interest. My love is still with Lloyds, planning to use it…

Open University - Where can I get a Student Account?
I've been studying with the OU for a few years towards a BA (Hons) degree, but I also work full time. Reducing OD?
I have an overdraft facility of £1100 with Nationwide. Since my LBM in Sep 07 I have managed to reduce this down through careful budgeting to £880 OD as it stands today (payday tomorrow when £1600 will be going in) I intend to keep bringing it down as part of my overall debt reduction. BTW, I haven't exceeded my overdraft…

Best Mixed Current Account
Hi, I just wanted to gauge the opinion of the knowledgable people in the forum about the best deals on mixed (in/out of credit) current accounts? I've read the article and had a look at the A&L website, but I've found that Nationwide have a better account. Any views? Thanks, Dave

Visa secure+debit cards?
Well, I was surprised to see that they are now registering Visa Debit Cards as well? I had that window coming up on the Tesco Website today, I have chosen this time to activate later, but my guess is that it will do the same thing as with my Barclaycard, and I will be forced to use Visa secure with my Debit Card. Strange…
