Natwest are nothing but thieves

Hi there.
Having some trouble with Natwest. They have been charging me interest on my student account since August because they thought I had graduated last year when I am actually graduating this week.
Even thought I went in last year to sort this out by showing my payment schedule, they didn't amend the account. Now they are telling me that they won't refund the interest charged.
I had student loan payments going into the account so I can't justify how they couldn't have known that I was a student.
Is there anywhere or an authority I can get some good advise from concerning my problem??
Wow, I am so closing the account down when I've paid off my overdraft...

This happened to me with Lloyds TSB. The switched my student account to a normal account early. However when I pointed it out, I got an apology, and a refund of all the interest.
If Natwest have made an error, they should be putting it right and giving you your money back.
I would suggest getting a letter from your university confirming the dates between which you were studying, then sending that to them with a letter of complaint.
Natwest are rubbish though, so don't expect a quick answer!0 -
